Can I use Sheep as lawn mowers?

I have read that google is using Goats as lawn mowers.. Is there a difference between Goats and Sheep regarding his use as lawn mowers?

In New Zealand I saw goats used as lawn mowers but they had to be tied to a tree so they wouldn’t stray to non-grassy plants.
